Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a form of healing that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. Acupuncture is a key component of TCM, and is defined as the insertion of very fine, flexible needles into specific points in the body. The purpose acupuncture is to attract or disperse Qi (energy) along the meridian (energy channel). By redirecting the flow of Qi, we being to create balance and harmony in the entire energy system of the body. TCM is concerned with bringing balance to the person as a whole and is interested in addressing the underlying cause of disease, not just the symptoms. TCM recognizes that every disease is initially caused by an energetic imbalance that manifests into pathology. By addressing the root cause, the energy imbalance, we treat the physical manifestation of that disharmony.
